The beginning of Drive Safe Assistance
In 2016, ANWB was the first major party in the Netherlands to introduce driving behavior car insurance: ANWB Veilig Rijden. This product was characterized by the social objective of using the insights gained to make the Netherlands safer on the road.
Safer Driving
After its introduction in 2016, things went fast. The number of users grew steadily to over 75,000 active users. This immediately made ANWB the largest provider of driving behavior insurance in the Netherlands. It was also possible to demonstrate that participants actually become or are safer drivers. The Safe Driving score has become the best predictor of accident risk within ANWB.
The power of a large network
ANWB stands for traffic safety and has an extensive network. This ultimately resulted in being able to collaborate with road authorities in order to use the insights gained to improve road safety in a more targeted way.

With our proven solution, we help drivers make their driving behavior actually safer. Safe drivers are positively stimulated in this, unsafe drivers are helped to improve risky driving behavior in time through preventive driving behavior coaching.
Veiligere infrastructuur
With the driving behavior of their users, our partners contribute directly to insight into traffic safety in the Netherlands. Together with ANWB Road Safety Data, we use this information to support governments in determining their priorities for improving traffic safety.
